What To Do If You Can Not Remember an Apple ID or Password?
One of the most important thing to any Apple user is an Apple ID. It lets you access and store content in iCloud, make FaceTime calls, send iMessages, use Apple Pay, and purchase items from the App Store and iTunes Store. Forgetting your Apple ID password can pose a number of problems, you are locked out of App Store, iCloud and iTunes, literally all of Apple. It becomes impossible to view your files on iCloud or to download anything from App store or iTunes if you forgot Apple ID password.

When you forgot Apple ID password, you can follow the Apple ID password reset methods below.
Method 1. Reset Apple ID Password via Email or Security Questions
This method only works if you have a verified recovery email for your Apple account or a set of security questions that you set up.
Step 1. Go to My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com) > select “Forgot Apple ID or password?”.
Step 2. Enter your Apple ID and click “Continue”.
Step 3. Choose “Get an email” or “Answer security questions” to reset your Apple ID password.
Method 2. Reset Apple ID Password with Two-step Authentication
If you have Two-step authentication enabled for your Apple ID, you can reset or change Apple ID password directly from your trusted iPhone, iPad, Pod touch, or Mac.
Step 1. Navigate to iforgot.apple.com > click the “Enter your Apple ID” option and type in your Apple ID.
Step 2. You should be prompted to enter your recovery key. Type it in and click “Continue”.
Step 3. Choose a trusted device. Apple will send your device a verification code.
Step 4. Enter the four-digit verification code and then set a new password and select Reset Password.
Method 3. Reset Apple ID Password with Two-factor Verification
Step 1. Navigate to “Settings” > click “iCloud”.
Step 2. Tap on your name then select “Password & Security”.
Step 3. Select “Change Password” and enter your new password. Then you can log in Apple account with a new Apple ID password.
Method 1. Try the Email Address You Have Used
In most cases, your Apple ID is your email address. You can try signing in with all prior email addresses that you might have used as an Apple ID.
Method 2. Reset Apple ID from Apple ID Account Page
Step 1. Navigate to My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com) > select “Forgot Apple ID or password?”.
Step 2. Click Forgot Apple ID.
Step 3. You will be prompted to enter your First Name, Last Name and your Email Address. Your information will be used to find your Apple ID.
Step 5. After you find and reset Apple ID, you can log in for more operations.
