For Google Pixel users, if you are facing issue with connecting Google Pixel/Pixel XL to iMac. Android File Transfer is not working. It is showing “Can’t Access Device Storage” each time. Is there any way to fix this?
Why not? There are two main ways to get this done. You can quite easily connect your Google Pixel or Pixel XL to a Mac by following the stages in this guide.
If you wanna to transfer/copy all files and data from iPhone or Android phone to the new Google Pixel/Pixel XL smartphone, you certainly do not want to miss:
Option 1:
Attach an USB cable to your Google Pixel or Pixel XL, then insert the cable into an USB port on your Mac computer.
This should bring up a notification on your Pixel Phone. Hold the notification and bring it down.
Some options will show.
Tap connect USB Storage.
Tap on OK.
Now on your Mac computer, a window should appear with the option to Open Folder. Your files should now be available on your Mac.
Option 2:
If that does not work, you can try this alternative route:
Download and install the USB drivers needed for the Pixel or Pixel XL. (If you are using a Mac, you should not need to install any further software.)
Next, connect your Google Pixel or Pixel XL to the Mac, a window will show up on the Pixel or Pixel XL phone screen. Drag the notification area down, and make a selection of your choice.
